Client: Maple Developments
Project: Marlborough House – Lichfield
Marlborough House, was purchased by Maple Developments and was to be converted into nine modern apartments.
Our objective was to maintain the overall view of the building but to install new timber sash windows to the top floor and fit secondary glazing screens to all other windows.
Due to the city centre location, acoustics and accessibility would be key factors to the specification required. Installing our timber sash windows and secondary glazing screens would enable the traditional look of the property to remain but increasing the acoustic performance of the windows throughout the apartments.
The project involved supplying and installing custom made Timber sliding sash windows, and powder coated aluminium inner screens.
The windows were fitted with Softcoat Low E and Argon filled glazing and traditional brass ironmongery.
Due to restricted access around the property the inward tilting sashes also eliminated the need for scaffolding/ladders for the cleaning of the windows.
